Armin Linke: Jeux Sans Frontières
For his solo show Armin Linke: Jeux Sans Frontières, the German-Italian artist presents a photographic project based on the television show ‘Jeux Sans Frontières’ and in particular to the 1995 TV episode that took place in Castello Sforzesco in Milan: a monumental backdrop to the sports challenge.
The photographic series conceived for the space will be accompanied by 12 photographs from the Media Linien archive: part of a larger project on the work of the architect Hans Hollein, originally commissioned by the MAK Museum in Vienna and Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach. The archive focuses on the Hollein’s architectural complex in Munich for the 1972 Olympic Games. Media Linien is part of a larger research based on “architecture, sports and society”.
This exhibition is the last of the series of shows hosted at Colli with the title: Sportification, Comunità, Agonismi e Giochi Senza Frontiere: a research project that explores the role and status of social and recreational spaces during the crisis of the European Union.
To accompany the exhibition Colli has partnered with the artist to produce a limited edition photographic portfolio: Media Linien, and published the book Sportification, together with Viaindustriae.
The lower-ground floor of the gallery is given over to the third edition of ‘Project Book’: ASMR Library by Federico Antonini.
