Fendi–Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana
In 2015 the roman fashion house Fendi set up its new headquarters in the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, known colloquially by locals as the Colosseo Quadrato (square colosseum), following an 18 month renovation that returned the 1943 building to its former glory. Originally commissioned by Mussolini and designed by architects Giovanni Huerrini, Ernesto Bruno La Padula and Mario Romani, this six storey building will now also hosts a series of temporary exhibitions supported by the Italian Maison. The programme kicks off in 2017 with a solo show dedicated to Giuseppe Penone curated by Massimiliano Gioni.
