Fondazione Memmo was set up in 1990. For over twenty years, it has curated exhibitions spanning from Baroque art through to Expressionism and Lucian Freud. In 2012 the foundation narrowed its focus on contemporary art and it has since been running a specialised programme of residencies and exhibitions. Further to these, the foundation regularly curates publications, performances, talks and workshops, actively promoting new forms of engagement within the context of contemporary art.
