Gagosian opened its site in Via Francesco Crispi in 2007. Today, the roman venue is just one of its many global outposts scattered between New York, London, Paris, Athens, Geneva and Hong-Kong. 750 square meters of an original 1920s bank were converted by Firouz Galdo and Caruso St John into the current exhibition space, which has since hosted shows by some of the most notorious artists of our generation including Cy Twombly, George Baselitz, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Serra, Ed Rusha and Giuseppe Penone amongst others.
